Hemp Milk

This is without a doubt my favourite milk as its so easy, nutritious and delicious!

Using Shelled or De-hulled Hemp seeds means you don’t need to soak them the night before and you don’t need a nut milk bag to strain off the bits like you do with the unshelled type and with other nuts like almonds etc.

Hemp has an ideal balance of Omega 3 and 6 for sustainable human health, it has a full amino acid spectrum meaning it provides complete vegetable protein, and it has a massive trace mineral content.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Litre pure filtered water
  • 4 tablespoons shelled hemp seeds
  • dash of Stevia (or another sweetener of choice click here)
  • 1/4 vanilla pod (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower or  nonGM soya lecithin granules (optional)

Simply add to a blender and whizz up for 1 to 2 minutes. I love adding 1/4 vanilla pod and a spoonful of lecithin as it makes it extra creamy with the added benefit of choline for fat metabolism and brain health.

Can be kept in the fridge for up to 2 days but I always use up 1L daily. Brilliant for smoothies, porridge, chia pudding or just add raw cacao powder for healthy chocolate milkshake!

Enjoy 🙂
